The last poem of Dante's Paradise says:
"It is love that moves the sun in heaven and all the stars."
All of creation is made by God because He loves it. The breath you are taking right now is because of God's love. The fact that you are still alive is because of God's love. The fact that people are allowed to reject God and end up in Hell is because of God's love.
The love of God is not a gooey niceness, but the motivator of all His actions, because He enjoys His creation. We must see His love rightly, if we are going to live our lives rightly. Every one of us falls short of understanding the love of God in its fullness. Let us each ask Him to show it to us more, so that we can understand it better, and live in accord with it always.
