Well, not completely. I was kidding in my previous post three minutes ago that I was not going to write more than that. I was also kidding that I am "too tired". Yes, I am tired (I have had an extremely busy week and barely keeping "everything on the plate"), but that does not mean that I am not going to write (I hope most of you knew better!).
Whenever we fall into the idea that we just cannot do any more--when we think we have come to our end--God always steps in and helps us, if we trust Him to do so. No, He does not force Himself into our lives, but He does come to those who are open and willing. I cannot say I am perfect in this, but I do work to keep myself open to the Lord so that He can inspire me to obey Him.
There is an enormous difference between the person who presumes that God will come to Him and fix his problems (which is sinful) and the person who trusts that God will give him what he needs when he needs it. The first is the spiritually lazy person who refuses to fulfill his calling before God and wants Him to do it for him. The second is the faithful person who is on the path to salvation.
So whenever you get to that point and think, "I cannot do any more", remember that God is right next to you waiting for your faith. He is wanting to see you, first, refuse to give up, and second, let Him minister to you. He will always give that extra strength, that extra guidance, that extra inspiration, to help you do what He commands.
