I will be leaving today to head to St. Louis. The priests of the Ordinariate are gathering with Bishop Lopes for our annual convocation. We spend a few days together, learn some things about our faith and ministry, and encourage one another to hang in there. As I ask every year, I ask it again this year: please pray for me and the other clergy who will be there. We are given the calling to care for your souls, and we cannot do so successfully without your prayers. St. Paul told his people to "pray for those who were over them in the Lord" so that they could "do their work joyfully". It is a joy to serve you, my people, so I know you are already praying for me. I thank all of you, and ask you to continue. God bless you.
